Forged H-Beam Rods
Computer designed with the professional engine builder in mind. The H-Beam design has been the goto for strength and reliability. The Howards Track Smart rod is made to be a step above the rest. Certified 4340 high tensile material is CNC machined on precision equipment to ensure accuracy and the removal of all surface imperfections. They are heat treated using a special process to ensure no stress risers remain. Profiled for long stroke applications. Double ribbed caps for greater bearing support. Rod cap alignment dowels to keep bearing caps precisely aligned. Bronze bushed for floating pins. Finished off with 7/16" ARP 2000 (220,000 psi) cap screw fasteners to secure the caps. Sets of 8.
