Howards Cams Mechanical Roller Camshaft, Big Bottle Cams - 4/7 Swap By switching the firing order (1-8-7-3-6-5-4-2) on your favorite Chev V8, you will discover a broader, smoother torque curve and decrease in crankshaft deflection. More aggressive profiles can be used to get the most manageable horsepower available. These cams require no additional engine modifications, other than swapping the #4 ignition wire with #7.
