Daytona Sensors SmartSpark LS Ignition Module, GM LS Series
The SmartSpark offers support for injected and carbureted LS-series engines with 24 or 58 tooth crank triggers. Features a selection for GM LS1 or higher energy LS2 style coils and is pre-programmed with advance tables suitable for a wide range of normally aspirated high performance engines. Users can digitally set launch, burnout, and maximum RPM limits with 100 RPM steps from 3,000 to 9,900 RPM. Allows access to launch and burnout RPM limits via optional USB interface and free PC Link software. USB interface and PC Link software allows programming a custom 3D advance table based on RPM and manifold pressure. SmartSpark Log software displays real time engine data during initial setup and dyno tuning. Individual cylinder timing (ICT) capability with RPM based offset up to ±5° with 0.1° steps. Includes three general purpose input terminals. Inputs can be used for RPM limits and multiple retard functions including driver adjustable retard (requires optional RTD-1). Mode switch allows selection of basic functions and all advanced features required optional USB interface and free PC Link software. Unit includes fully encapsulated construction without any internal voids and uses heavy duty 12 pin Deutsch connectors used for signal connections.
Note: New installations require wiring harness.
Note: SmartSpark LS Ignition Modules will work with the factory GM coils. However to achieve the full benefits and performance advantages of Daytona's SmartSpark technology, Daytona Sensors recommends that users complete their new ignition installation with a new set of Daytona Sensor LS Coils DAY119100-8 (Set of Eight).
