Features extra thick walls (.300" with 4.625" bore), scalloped water jackets for improved cooling, ductile iron splayed 4-bolt main caps, priority main oiling, lifter valley head stud bosses help prevent blown head gaskets and dual oil pan bolt patterns. External block machining reduces weight without sacrificing strength. Oil filter pad is drilled and tapped for external oil pump. Bell housing flange and rear main are reinforced with ribs to resist cracks.
• Siamese bores with extra thick cylinder walls to resist cracking and improve ring seal (minimum .300” thick with 4.625” bore)
