Callies Compstar Comet Lightweight 4340 Crankshaft, Chevrolet SB 350 Main
Features gun drilled mains, lightened rod journals, pendulum cut counterweights, and a star flange. All journals are polished to 5Ra or finer and match sized to within .0003 inch or less throughout the entire crankshaft. Designed to internally balance without the use of heavy metal. Triple heat treated and fully nitrided with a surface hardness of 61HRc or greater. All gray area edges are generously radiused to eliminate potential stress risers found on many lightweight cranks. All journals are precision ground with .125" Radii for strength. The result of this work are journals that have excellent load bearing surfaces and high fatigue limits. Average weight for 3.75" stroke is just 43 pounds. Requires narrowed bearings.
